Altum Phone Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 2026
Altum Phone is operated by Altum Group LLC ("Altum," "we," "our," or "us"), 1303 Derby Run, Carrollton, TX 75007. This Privacy Policy describes what information the Altum Phone app collects, how we use and share it, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. It applies to the team members who sign in to Altum Phone to call and text customers and leads on their employer's behalf.
Information We Collect
- Account and identity: your name, work email address, phone number, and sign-in identifiers (managed through AWS Cognito).
- Customer and lead data you work with: names, mailing addresses, phone numbers and email addresses, and business or property details.
- Sensitive lead information some businesses use to qualify leads: health or disability status, veteran, deceased, and age indicators; and financial-distress information such as tax, lien, equity, bankruptcy, and foreclosure status. This is information about the customer or lead, entered or fetched to help you work the lead.
- Communications: SMS/MMS and in-app messages, and photos you choose to attach (optional).
- Calls: voice recordings and transcripts of calls made and received in the app (see "Call Recording and Consent").
- App activity: notes, statuses, call summaries, and transcripts you create.
- Device identifiers: push and calling (VoIP) tokens and basic device information used to deliver calls and notifications.
Call Recording and Consent
Calls you make and receive in Altum Phone are recorded and transcribed for quality, training, and record-keeping. Because the people you speak with may be in states that require every party's consent, you must inform the other party that the call is being recorded and obtain their consent where the law requires it. The app shows you a recording notice before your first recorded call, and you can review it any time from the More tab. Recordings and transcripts are stored as your employer's business records.
How We Use Information
We use this information to route and place calls and texts, show and manage leads, create and retain call and message history, and operate, secure, and improve the service, and to comply with legal obligations.
How We Share Information
We do not sell your information. We share it only with service providers that process it on our behalf: Amazon Web Services (Cognito authentication and hosting), Twilio (calls and SMS/MMS), Apple and Google/Firebase (push and calling notifications), Google Places (address suggestions when you type an address), and Stripe (invoices and payments, where your company uses invoicing). When you open a map for a customer address, the address or its approximate location is sent to Google Maps to show it; your device's own location is not collected. We may also disclose information where required by law.
Data Security
Information is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS to our backend and providers; encrypted media for calls). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we apply reasonable safeguards to protect your information.
Data Retention
Account and personal-access information is kept while your account is active and removed when you delete your account (see "Account Deletion"). Business records created during your work — call and message logs, recordings, transcripts, appointments, and lead notes — belong to your employer and are retained by them according to their own retention practices.
Account Deletion
You can delete your account at any time from the More tab, or by submitting a request at the public deletion page listed under "Contact." Deleting your account removes your sign-in, your access to every business you worked for, your device's push registration, and your personal contact details, and signs you out. Business records created during your work — such as call and message logs, recordings, appointments, and lead notes — belong to your employer and are retained by them; your work email may remain on those records for attribution, resolving to an anonymized display name.
SMS Consent
By providing your phone number, you consent to receiving SMS messages related to our services. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP.
Children
Altum Phone is a business tool intended for users 18 and older and is not directed to children.
